Vote BACON

Polling Day BrekkyVote BACON politicised not homogenised

By Dave Fellows – the TooMoo220 Classic Man
Has a good ring to it …don’t you think

This morning I chose to replace fantasy with symbolism for my breakfast with the following garnish.
Broccoli in a cursory nod to the greens, regardless of your leanings a little is good for you, while too much will result in certain constipation.
Blueberries represent the sweet looking promises that always end up slightly bitter.
Mushrooms for how the political leaders see the voters
The big red strawberry off to the side is there purely to distract you from the main issue, which like most big red strawberries these days will be hollow and devoid of flavour.
A couple of cherries sit precariously on top, just out of reach they will teeter and fall at the slightest change to the make up of the final ensemble
The entire illusion is underpinned by “White Toast”, white toast looks for all the world to be a healthy inclusive brown, yet remains decidedly white on the inside.

There is only one thing in this meal you can rely on to deliver what you need for a fulfilling existence and that my friends is Bacon.

Bacon keeps it’s promises
Bacon won’t lie to you
Bacon is dependable
You can dress it up you can dress it down, but underneath it’s still bacon

So all that is left is to eat it!

Great pic and recipe Dave

Steve has modified this recipe to exclude any political predictions by Dave…actually by the time anyone reads this everyone will know the result.

Dave makes a Mountain out of a Molehill

The Making of a Molehill

By Dave Fellows.

Thats Dave the Too MOOO or Not toMOOOO  Challenge guy! see below one of Queensland’s top up and coming multi day events…
Life it seems is full of challenges, some at random as if the universe has decided to test us or perhaps frustrate us as we go about our daily lives. Most of these challenges are mere molehills we handle in our stride; a small percentage are mountains requiring us to dig deep in order to face them; however again we pretty much manage to get through whatever we are confronted with and usually emerge a better person as a result.

Then there are the challenges we set for ourselves, these may be in any discipline from intellectual to physical however the one thing they have in common is that we have chosen to confront ourselves with the possibility of failure in order to advance ourselves.

This morning I embarked on my challenge, a bike ride surprisingly enough that involved hills followed by hills and then a couple of hills to round out the day, hills have always been mountains to me, they certainly have proven to be more than a challenge on many an occasion. This morning I was feeling even more apprehensive than usual as I was to be riding with a group I knew was laced with some good riders particularly of hills, however I showed up determined to risk failure in order to conquer a mountain.

I decided to look at the days ride in increments rather than the whole, layers if you like, breaking the ride down into bite sized pieces, reducing the mountain to a series of molehills and it worked! as I summited each molehill I looked ahead only to the next molehill which i knew I could achieve in relative comfort.

Molehill by molehill I climbed my mountain.

Excited I decided to reward myself and applied the process to my breakfast but this time in reverse.

Layers of dry Seeded Toast, Bacon, Charr Grilled Peppers for sweetness, Bacon, Avocado for creaminess and Bacon I built a mountain, molehill by molehill.

You too should find your molehill and conquer it, then another and another; pretty soon you’ll have a mountain like this one to reward yourself.

Enjoy

By Dave Fellows

A sustained period of self imposed celibacy wasn’t wasted this morning despite a moment of weakness when I finally, some would say predictably, succumbed, seduced by the tantalizing allure of the flesh.

I knew I was entering the danger zone from the moment I allowed my gaze to linger
I knew I was tiptoeing a fine line as I failed to censor my imagination. As I lightly ran my fingers over the firm flesh beneath its form hugging wrap, I was well aware of where this was leading, yet as if drawn by a magnetic compulsion I didn’t resist. I swallowed as my heart rate elevated at the very thought of peeling back the ever so thin final barrier; my senses my very being ignited as, seemly without conscious effort all was laid bare before me. I swallowed again, a little harder this time, a guilty glance over my shoulder before throwing myself wholly into the moment.

Later a little dreamy as I relaxed, the taste of passion lingering on my lips, I felt guilt but no shame, satisfaction without remorse, along with a surprising but not entirely unwelcome desire to periodically revisit the relationship should circumstances permit.
Perhaps it is possible to maintain ones discipline in the face of temptation if one allows themselves to indulge occasionally provided there is no pre-manipulation of circumstances and then only when it feels perfect.

Our guilty pleasures are of course a matter for ourselves, indulging occasionally may not be such a bad thing if it serves to remind us of who we are and how hard we have to work to be who we want to be. We must maintain discipline and keep things in balance.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
