The Tour de Valley Festival of Time Trialing in the beautiful Currumbin Valley will feature some exciting individual and team options in 2019!

The hallmark 36km Solo Time Trial event will again see the winners crowned as King and Queen of de Valley across four categories for men and women. After a successful debut last year, the 72km Solo Time Trial returns for the ‘endurance’ kings and queens with their chance to take on the longest individual time trial event on the eastern coast of Australia.

There are plenty of options for the teams in 2019! The ever popular 72km and 36km Team Cycling Challenge returns with the unique handicapping system based on age and gender. For the first time, the QLD State Team Time Trial Championships will also be conducted as part of the event. Cycling QLD clubs and registered teams will be able to compete across a number of age divisions for men and women for their chance to be crowned State Champions!

The Gold Coast RIDE OF DUTY…

On Sunday 19th April 2020, we invite the community to ride in remembrance of our ANZACS and to also recognise the 1st Australian Divisional Cycling Company. The courses start and finish at the Burleigh Heads RSL on 6th Ave, Burleigh. The 100km & 50km course takes in both Tallebudgera and Currumbin Valleys before heading down to Kirra and then back through Palm Beach to Burleigh.  At the completion of the ride enjoy a free gunfire breakfast, chat with some of the RSL members and enjoy a coffee.

This year’s Robbie McEwen Granfondo has something for everyone. Whether you choose the Piccolo, Sportive or Robbie’s Signature ride – the Granfondo over the mountains of the Gold Coast hinterland you’ll have 3 amazing cycling courses to choose from. Kids can also enjoy riding in the safety of the closed, traffic free circuit at Nerang Cycling Centre while the “bigger kids” are out on course. Robbie has again personally designed 3 courses that will not only challenge many but will put the Gold Coast Hinterland on the world stage for its beauty and incredible cycling courses.

Australia’s Ultimate Lifestyle Cycling Event – Oceanway Ride is creating a spectacular land-marking cycling event on the Gold Coast.  This annual event will attract thousands of budding cyclists, families, first-timers and more experienced riders of all ages. The Oceanway Ride has been designed to offer participants one of the most extraordinary journeys to be taken by bike.  It will allow them to enjoy one of the world’s most spectacular coastlines, right here on the Gold Coast.  Riders have the opportunity to cycle at a leisurely pace in a safe and controlled environment.
