Five Peaks Challenge

A great day cycling on the five peaks of Canberra – Mt Stromlo, Red Hill, Mt Pleasant, Mt Ainslie and Black Mountain. The non-competitive event provides a great challenge as you take on the five peaks of Canberra – Mount Stromlo, Red Hill, Mount Pleasant, Mount Ainslie and Black Mountain.  Choose your peaks, choose your distance, climb one or climb them all.  Are you up for it? 5 peaks in one day, 1775m total vertical, 109km. Ride to the top of all 5 summits or design your own challenge by choosing your peaks. Do 1 or tackle all 5. It’s up to you. This is one of Canberra’s most iconic bike rides. Be part of it.

Lake Hume Cycle Challenge

A great Cycle Event – for a truly great cause.
The 2020 Drummond Real Estate Lake Hume Cycle Challenge features beautiful NE Victorian scenery and around Lake Hume. Run each February by local Rotary Clubs, it’s a great value Event with country hospitality guaranteed. Proceeds for the 2020 Event are again going to the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre.
The Event consists of four (4) rides catering for all fitness levels and abilities (7 – 126 km) and there is post ride entertainment. If you’re a top end rider, try the iconic Granya Grind (126 km). Ride fees range from $10 – 100.
The road rides take in spectacular undulating hills, attractive farmlands, river flats and the impressive Lake Hume reservoir. Shorter town and family friendly rides meander along paved bike paths incorporating natural parkland, the Murray River and picturesque creeks.
The start and finish is at the Wodonga Racecourse. From 10am, returning riders and supporters can rest and revive at the “Chill Zone” and be part of the “cycle community” catching up with old mates and make new ones. Cool off with a chilled beer, soft drink or ice cream, satisfying stall food; and enjoy the sweet chill out sounds of local musicians.

Le Tour de Norfy Challenge

Le Tour de Norfy Challenge, bought to you by Claremont Rotary and Variety – the Children’s Charity Tasmania, is a very scenic ride past hop fields, historic landmarks and of course takes in the fantastic Derwent River.  Riders can choose a relatively flat course of 38km or 76km, or the quite hilly route of 106km which is considered by cyclists to be a real challenge.  A great event growing in popularity each year with all funds raised going to local community projects.

Coota Bike Festival

The Coota Bike Festival, hosted by the Rotary Club of Cootamundra, is a weekend of bike riding fun, catering for all levels of cyclists. There are plenty of events for cyclists and plenty to look at if you don’t ride.  These events include the Crusin’ Coota ride, Coota Criterium race and the Harden Challenge.

Fruit Loop Ride

The Fruitloop Ride can be as easy or as hard as you would like to make it: a gentle 50kms, a flat 115, with a few Dookie Hills thrown in, or a Kids’ Ride to SPC KidsTown’ a five km ride to KidsTown open to anyone accompanied by a child under twelve!  Something for every rider and all abilities.Funds raised by the Fruitloop Ride go to support Goulburn Valley Hospice Care Service Inc. and Rotary Projects.  Hope to see you there!
