A little bit of background on Steve and Cyclelike Let me connect you to the best recreational cycling opportunities in the “Lands Down Under” of Australia and New Zealand. How did it all start? Finding all the Cycling Events, Opportunities and Experiences for the Recreational Road Cycling was extremely frustrating and time consuming. Googling was an increasing nightmare. I needed something far more efficient and mobile, but what and how? Broken neck I unfortunately broke my neck in a Rotary Cycling Event on the Gold Coast 2012 . I suddenly faced a new reality! – thankfully after 8 months I was fortunate enough to make a full recovery. During that 8 months of very limited movement & time on my hands, it was an opportunity to deal with the frustrations of finding cycling events. It really kicked in to gear on the trip home from hospital, when my Son Zach described the reasons for cycling’s disorganised state – “Dad the problem with Cycling is that it’s popularity is far exceeding it’s current resources” That crystallised it for me, that was the clarity & the starting point to develop something of TRUE VALUE for the recreational cyclist. CycleEvents was born A ‘Search facility’ that crawls the net for relevant Cycling data in Australia and New Zealand. CycleEvents mission is to provide a Fast Fact format for over 300 recreational events @ your finger tips 24/7 Fast – Seamless – Simple. Cyclelike.com develops The Pocket Rocket to connect the dots keeping everyone connected to the fast evolving data and information flow. What was needed was a fun and factual emag, something a little off centre, something in plain terms for the everyday Cyclist, featuring the Events, Clubs and Organisations, keeping us all current on all the opportunities experiences and fast evolving lifestyle options on offer. The “Ride” Network: Local and relevant: We continue to develop our network at a local level, with the Gold Coast, Wellington, Brisbane all continuing to grow strongly – Melbourne has just started and others are currently being developed.
