Bondi2Berry

The Ride to Remember is back in 2019… bigger and better… on Saturday 7 September 2019.

Why are we riding?

We are riding to raise awareness of dementia. Organisers Nick and Pierre have first hand experience with the disease. Both of Nick’s grandmothers passed away after suffering from dementia, and Nick’s father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2011. Pierre’s mother was diagnosed in 2015.

Their personal experiences, as well as those of many of their close friends, prompted the guys to use their passion for cycling to raise awareness and funds to help find a cure for the terrible disease.

B2SC Change the Cycle of Homelessness

The B2SC is working today to change tomorrow – to change the cycle of homelessness

According to the ABS Census of Population and Housing, there are over 19,000 people who have been left homeless in Queensland. In the words of the Commonwealth Government’s The Road Homewhite paper, “To reduce homelessness, particularly the numbers of people sleeping rough, it is critical that services work to end homelessness for their clients permanently.”

To this end, we are a nonprofit organization focused on bringing awareness to the crisis of homelessness and aiming to Change the Cycle.  We have created a great cycle ride called the Brisbane to Sunshine Coast (or B2SC), to raise much needed funds for The Shack Community Centre in the hinterland suburb of Nambour.

Our goal is to raise funds to build six new homes for the homeless in the region.
